BACKCOVER - BOOK SYNOPSIS (please insert this in the section for book synopsis):
How do you tell the real from the counterfeit?
In her fascinating book Darkness Draped in Light: A True Story of Freedom from Spiritual Deception, Faith Paul takes you into the reality of the supernatural world and the two invisible kingdoms behind it, the good and the bad. Deceived by a “spiritual leader,” she unsuspectingly slipped into the bad one and had to acknowledge its existence before she could escape from it.
In her desperation to find her way out of the nonstop torment at the hands of invisible harassers, she was forced to confront and recognize the hollowness and powerlessness of everything she had been told, read about, or grown up believing – about religion or any form of spirituality. She dumped it all and set out on this new journey guided by the only voice she knew she could trust – that of her instinct. As she heeded that gentle voice, she began to encounter the only power that could set her free: the power of Truth!
Faith chronicles her journey of healing and freedom to impart hope to those living defeated lives saddled with afflictions of physical infirmities, broken marriages, dysfunctional families, hardened hearts, and traumatic memories of painful pasts.
She speaks from her heart with a vulnerability, transparency and empowerment that only an encounter with the Truth can bring.

BACKGROUND This is, a design for a book by me (female) who was an atheist and then became an agnostic and finally encountered God first-hand, though I still hate it when God is reduced to empty religion (which is more controlling than it is helpful).
REQUIREMENT I'm looking for a very striking cover design for a book which endevors to warn people about spiritual deception based on my real life story which exposes the spirit realm [which has positive as well as negative supernatural (from God's kingdom and devil's kingdom, respectively) ]. So it is a journey from darkness (which is very deceptive and pretends to be light) to real light of God.
BOOK TITLE(tentative) AND THEME: Darkness wrapped in Light (A True Story of Freedom from Spiritual Deception)
BOOK SIZE The book trim size is now final and will be 5.5 x8.5 (Portrait)
BOOK COVER DESIGN IDEAS: Below is the key idea that I want to invite entries for at this point
A young girl standing at the end of long dark tunnel (just where darkness ends and she is facing the bright day-light). The tunnel ends at the edge of a steep cliff (pretty vertical) from where she knows she cannot go back and she is standing and wondering if she could fly. An white eagle at her height or higher would be great (would inspire her to want to fly). It would be helful to show her eagerness to fly by showing her one foot already out of the tunnel in the air and though ready to fly. Could also experiment with gentle beams of light coming into the tunnel from outside. From the cliff will be visible plain sky (with or witout clouds-could try both variations)
(Emotion behind it - she knows she cannot go back or jump down- and the only option was to fly.-perhaps you could show a diving board like protrusion if it helps to show that she is at a height/on a cliff (Her emotions - being inspired to fly).
Description of the young girl: small built, not very tall (say 5.4) dark brown or black hair -say shoulder length or a little longer (but not very long), in white dress-atleast knee length or longer.
BACK COVER OF THE BOOK Would probably have some pleasant background to go with the front on which the book synopsis, author bio, author photo, and several endorsements can go (have several of them but whatever does not fit can go into the first few pages of the book- so just try to give the max space possible both for endorsements and for book synopsis. auhtor bio will be short, and I will know the size of the photo before the contest is over- but photo will preferably be on the bottom left or right- next to the author bio). Designer can be creative.
The endorsement section will preferably be narrower and taller -because ideally I'd like to fit ten endorsements of one sentence each which may fit into one or two lines depending on the width of the section for endorsements. Will try to make each sentence as short as possible to be able to fit. In a worse case scenario if we have space issues, we will try to make each endosement even shorter or reduce the number of key endorsements to 5 or 7. But let it this section be the tallest that would look good and narrow er so that we can have all the endorsements one under the other or if that does not work then could try and L shape which goes from right or left side and then to the bottom. thanks! the photo size I will tell you soon- but I don't mind making it as small as possible because that is not the focus. Thanks!
