We are Australia's first non-bank finance auction house. We will help property developer clients who are looking for non-bank finance to find the most suitable lender, we will then have the top lenders fight for the business to get the client the lowest rate i.e. a dutch auction (a reverse auction to bring the interest rate down as low as possible). What we're trying to achieve with the image is a brand that will be taken seriously, but not be an old-fashioned bank style brand. We want to show that yes we are energetic and new-age and technology-based, but also big and trustworthy. Most deals will be over $10,000,000, so we need to build trust in the brand. But we also want people to know that we are different from the others in the industry because we have an emphasis on technology and our very smart platform. Other businesses in this space have very old and crappy websites and are just "old fashioned". We are bringing life to this space, through technology and innovation. We love bright oranges that pop. You can see from our website which is currently under development (www.idutch.com.au) that we are going for a very bold, cool, simple and elegant design. Very smart. Am open to the idea of all capitals (IDUTCH) or all lower case (idutch) or a mix (iDutch) etc.

We want to be perceived as being young, fresh and online (as the finance space is usually very dull and boring) - however, we need to strike a fine balance, as we don't want to be perceived as being young, immature and "startup"ish...why? because many of our clients will be very sophisticated property developers who may be worth 10s or 100s of millions of dollars and are entrusting us to find them the best deal possible (average debt deal size is over 10m) - so it's not your typical "consumer product" i.e. not home loans, but big construction loans. Also very focussed on the colour orange. The biggest selling point is the fact that we will be auctioning the debt. This is a first. So we want to emphasise this and that we are acting for the client. Maybe an auction gavel or something. Also like the font to be very cool. I'm even open to the idea of having a logo that is just the name with cool font (not stuck on either direction, open to ideas).
