We are a new firm that will provide legal advice in the area of employment and labour law. Our primary audience is composed of two groups of potential clients. The first group consists of small, medium and large-scale businesses seeking strategic advice to support, motivate and manage their most important resource - their employees.
The second group of potential clients consists of employees who need support as they enter, manage the obstacles of, or separate from an employment relationship. Ideally, the employees in this group will consist of managers and executives.
Both groups turn to us to offer solutions to critical problems - sometimes during incredibly stressful periods. Our role is to listen carefully to our clients immediate needs and overall goals, and to respond by providing strategic legal advice and service excellence.

Dodgerblue (Hex Code: #1E90FF) preferred; however, I would be interested in seeing designs using Crimson (Hex Code: #DC143C). Please do not combine these two colours in the same design.

Inspiração de design
I like the cohesion between the icon (the carrier pigeon) and the business name. The partially abstract form of the bird gives it the appearance that it's moving. The bird is not overwhelming, but communicates complexity to the viewer. Very interesting design!
The font type really works here. For my business, I'd prefer not to use only lower case.
The icon is quite creative and captures the business name really well. The icon can easily be used on its own in brand material. I appreciate the simplicity of this logo. I do not like the background colour.
This logo is edgy but not so much so that it's over the top. I love the background scheme.
I like this design for its simplicity. The soft colours really work with the idea of a "nest" or "home". For my business I'd prefer colours that communicate more confidence.
The symbol is creative in that it captures the "S" and "B" at the same time. This logo is slightly too far on the feminine side for me.
This design is modern and interesting. The font size of "photography" is too small. This logo is slightly too far on the masculine side for me.
Please do not use symbols typically representative of legal practice (e.g. the scales of justice, a gavel, courthouse depictions, etc.). We are a new firm attempting to break the mould. In design, we prefer subtly over blunt or overt representations.
Our goal is to inspire confidence in our abilities and optimism for a positive result. We are inspired by the following symbols:
- the letter "A" for "Appiah Law";
- chess pieces (such as the knight), because practicing employment law means being strategic;
- the Obama "O" from the 2008 campaign, sunrise, and the Phoenix, because they communicate optimism for the future, and the positivity that change can bring.
These are just ideas for inspiration and do not necessarily need to be incorporated into the design. It should go without saying that the Obama "O" should not be used or emulated. We don't want to get sued for trademark infringement! We no longer would like to see designs incorporating the gryphon.
