The current name, logo and brand identity better reflects a trekking company focusing on expeditions into the Himalaya (which was how Sherpa started in the early days). These days all of our trips are based around the U.K. and Europe and while they are still challenging walks (from 5 to 18 days) they are not full on treks and clients do not camp or need to carry all of their gear. It is a much softer style of travel that is suitable for any active, healthy person.
We would like to reinforce the position Sherpa Expeditions as a key player in the active European holiday market, offering a quality product (in terms of route notes, itineraries – not luxury or expensive) at a competitive price.
In terms of personality; Sherpa Expeditions should be positioned as knowledgeable, experienced, trustworthy, innovative and approachable. We would like an appearance that blends ‘classic’ and ‘innovative’. While serious the brand should have an energy and sense of adventure, making sure we don’t come across as expensive/luxury, stuffy or too old.
The typeface should be clear, simple and bold and we would ideally like the logo to include some kind of icon/image that gives a sense of what we do.
