I am a recent-MBA graduate from Vanderbilt and have had this blog and podcast for over 3 years. The concept started as a way to network but has taken on more importance as I've been hired by a social media marketing and PR agency.
It benefits my job greatly for me to evolve my intellectual capital like this blog into something that helps move the firm forward. I've re-invented the format of the podcast to include more marketer voices, a call in line and integration with the crowd-sourced question and answer service Aardvark.
Ultimately, with the multiple platforms the blog and podcast has to exist on, I need something more than just my horizontal logo. In fact, my goal is to have the blog reflect my personality but be enough to stand on its own.

Young, dynamic marketers. Readers of mainstream marketing blogs but who are searching for something to reflect more of their comfort with social media culture. Marketers who have a desire to integrate smart business strategy into what was a formerly amateur-oriented social media marketing.
I need a square icon to integrate into the regular marketing diner logo (see uploaded file). The icon has to be simple and recognizable enough to be picked out amongst other small square logos such as on the iTunes directory or on a Twitter stream (i.e. it should be recognizable and distinct at scales as small as 48 x 48 pixels or perhaps even smaller)
Colors can vary based on what you believe to stand out most but should fit in with the color template on the blog as it exists now (http://blog.marketingdiner.com)
The ultimate goal is to exude the theme/tagline of the show - "Feed Your Brand, Not Your Ego." Or, in other terms, making decisions based on data, analysis and smart strategy relavent to your client and what will move the consumer agenda forward and not just what makes the biggest statement about who you are/your ego.
I am trying to avoid just using the initials of the show "MD" but the winner of the contest will probably be someone who brings forward a strikingly simple design with a lot of innovative impact. Think abstract, think clean design think immediately recognizable and not easily confused for something else.
