We are a drive through coffee chain with 3 outlets. We pride ourselves on our customer experience, not just great product. A large part of our customer experience is conveying our personality. We are a youthful, contemporary, fun business that doesn’t take themselves seriously. Our primary target audience is male/female aged 21-35
Qual a sua visão?
We are after 1 design of a character that can be a domestic animal or human. The winning artist may be commissioned to deliver a further 9 designs of similar scope. We have an established brand, logo and style guide. We are looking to add to our brand through the means of illustration, which will be displayed on all of our touch points in the business, that being cups, bags, billboards, digital platforms, etc. We need these illustrations to really carry our brand voice and convey our values and personality. The brand voice we want to convey is: • Youthful • Cheeky • Absurd • Irreverent • Respectful (but not prudish and lame) • Professional (but not corporate) • No political • Contemporary We want these characters to be engaging and not just glanced at. The style we like is a simplistic line drawing, with a slight continuous feel to it if possible (but not essential). We like the depth and feel that an added shadow brings to this type of illustration. We want the illustration to feel contemporary, and not too 'fine art'. A small use of colour would be desirable. We don't want an illustration that is overly life like. Must be on a white background. The characters need to be doing something cheeky, irreverent, absurd or questionable. We like animals that are humanised, and humans that do things which would typically not make sense to do. We want to laugh when we see these illustrations, relate to the character and connect with them. The creative of what they are doing is just as important as the quality of work itself. We don't want boring characters that look like children's cartoons. We don’t want the characters to have anything to do with our brand, coffee or what we do. We want them to tell their own quirky story. Think Brian from Family Guy as personality inspiration. Tell a funny bizarre story that is engaging. This will be on the back of a plain white disposable coffee cup. If you can create your own scenario that is humorous we would see that very favourably.
Go beyond family friendly, we hate being boring and PC.
