A new web service that searches and reveals key emerging trends and related information from real-time conversations. A way for users to find the key stories and topics that are trending across the real-time Web but are not immediately obvious or accessible through normal search engines.

The target market for our free offering is essentially all consumers that have an interest in the real-time Web and want to discover and uncover stories and trends quicker and easier. The target market for our paid offering which will launch later includes: 1) PR agencies; 2) brand managers; 3) marketing managers; 4) political strategists.
I'm looking for a clean, professional, contemporary (it should look & feel current without being too trendy or ephemeral) and engaging logo to use on our website, for promotional materials, business cards and for overall branding. The logo could utilize graphic elements or icons (e.g., a magnifying glass to emphasize the "spotting" of trends) but should not be cartoony, flamboyant or cheeky. The choice of font should complement the goals/attributes of the site: helpful, accurate, active, rewarding, surprising (in terms of the data it uncovers).
Because we will be using data from Twitter and other social feeds, my inclination is to use a blue color palette (though it should not match Twitter or Facebook's colors) but I'm not averse to other color palettes that may work.
The proposed tag line for the service that may be used in conjunction with the logo is: "Real-Time Trends Revealed." However, I'm open to other tag line concepts and suggestions.
