The Unexpected Journey is an internet based reality show where ordinary people apply to go on extraordinary journeys. All-expenses-paid.
Users apply though our iOS application to go anywhere in the world and do something they've always wanted to mark off their bucket list. Other app users will vote for those compelling individuals to experience their once in a lifetime dream.
The winner is the most compelling individual that's received the most amount of votes in the app. The winner is surprised by The Unexpected Journey team.
The entire process will be filmed and documented and will give them opportunities to reflect on not only their current voyage but their life one as well.
We hope by the end of the trip they will walk away not only having lived an invaluable experience but left with an impression that alters the soul.
Interconnectivity. Beauty. Love. Compassion. Gratitude. Change. That is The Unexpected Journey.

Inspiração de design
The business card picture was the initial inspiration (the compass with the shutter for a photographer). We like the clean and modern look as well as the flat and masculine look.
The last picture is a poster mock up of how the logo and icon could be used.
We like grayscale but are open to color ideas.
The font is some form of Avenir (extra light I believe). We like this but open to seeing different fonts.
The icon will stand alone as the "app icon" as well; so it should be strong.
We like the world/compass look.
