The heart of this competition is the image of the logo. It must contain the following 3 elements:
1. An inverted triangle (pointy bit facing downward) - representing the quest of Truth Projects to get to the bottom of something and understand a topic/situation at its root cause. Emotion-wise, this element is objective but very caring.
2. An image that represents mechanics/operations. I thought of using a simple system of gears to represent this - but that's just my random idea. It must represent the strength of Truth Projects to understand the mechanics of a system and then make that system more efficient or create a new system, no matter the constraints. Emotion-wise, this element is very mechanical, matter-of-fact and objective.
3. A larger triangle, but this time standing upright (pointy bit facing upward). This represents the strength of Truth Projects to take its understanding of a topic/situation and communicate it to others in a high-impact way. Speakers in Truth Projects impinge deeply on their audiences - they create a powerful effect. Videos and other media are also used to create this effect. They don't overwhelm an audience; instead they "penetrate" - thus represented by an upright triangle. Emotion-wise, this element is powerful, passionate and full of energy!!
I am (somewhat) willing to negotiate the choice of symbols to represent elements 1 and 3. The above sequence however does have significance: 1 must always be first but 2 and 3 are interchangeable or can overlap.
Even though Truth Projects (strictly-speaking) falls into the industry of business/consulting, the culture of the company is more arty/theatrical/entertainment/design.
Like I mentioned at the start, the logo image is the heart of this project. I am less interested in the text. As is the case with Starbucks, the logo image must be distinct and recognizable with or without text. It must tell the story via the elements that are integrated into a fun design!! Good luck!
*** 29 June 2014 Update ***
I really like the "look and feel" of the movie Robots. I just attached an image to this brief, but there are several samples available online. I love the 3D animation technique, the colors, creativity and playfulness in the imagery of the movie as a whole. Ideally, I would want my logo having a similar look and feel. Note I used the word playful, not unprofessional.
