d.school Paris is a new graduate program in design where students from all walks of life (engineering, design, business, etc.) come together to experience design and innovation first hand. We believe that design is at the intersection of people, business, and technology, and our goal is for a school where people can work on "design for X" where X can be things such as wellbeing, sustainability, the neglected, etc.

In order to sustain our program we need support from the following audiences: students (mostly graduate level) who participate in our program, corporations who sponsor our projects, and academics whom we develop partnerships with. Our reach is truly global, from Colombia to Japan to California.
The logo will be used everywhere from print material to posters to websites to power point slides.
As our existence in Paris makes us unique, we would like the logo to capture some essence of Paris without it being too cliche.
We draw a lot of inspiration from the Belle Epoque and the Universal exhibitions in Paris(1889 and 1900) and the notion of bridging the different disciplines (art, engineering, etc.).
We encourage some graphic in addition to the typeface but we would like the entire logo to be simple and not too fancy.
You're welcome to use any color but we would like a black & white version for print material in addition to the full color version. We do have a preference for earthy colors (i.e. green) and prefer avoiding colors that are too strong (i.e. gold).
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - layered .psd (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
