geeks, technical folks, taking the Enterprise out of IT departments

I am about to launch a personal blog, its going to be about the things I do day-to-day. I want to change the way people produce software in enterprises. I expect it will be mostly technically orientated stuff. The blog will also contain, items like photos, books I read, gadgets I like, trips etc.

For my site I am looking for a simple but distinctive logo. One day I hope to use it beyond just my blog :) .. therefore I'd like to have the finished work in both print and web file formats.

Its important that the logo be
i) simple, elegant and distinctive
ii) predominantly a combination red/black or gray
iii) I do prefer lowercase lettering, i think its the geek in me.. but feel free to WOW me with anything,
