Insight Freight is a full service freight forwarder; offering shipment management services for freight destined down the street or across the world. We're initiating a revolutionary website that will allow our clients to compare rates and manage shipments from all of our service providers. With the move to a web based service... we need a new Web 2.0 friendly logo that re-defines our corporate image. We do what we do... to help people feel more at ease with shipping products. Our website is made to provide a user friendly space to plan, execute and manage shipments with ease.

Our primary target audience are businesses that ship commercial goods. More specifically... the individuals that make the decisions on which service company to use. These individuals are primarily male (however more and more females are entering the field), aged 25-50. These individual are born planners, very organized... almost to an extreme sense. They are skid-dish in nature... so it's important to have a calm logo that inspires trust. The secondary target audience are the carrier companies... they are primarily male dominant (truck drivers, dispatchers forwarders etc...). Also planners by nature... however this breed is much more aggressive and much less skid-dish. These guys will break their backs for a dollar and to keep a good reputation.
- Logo Icon with Typeface.
- Logo Icon must look good independently from the typeface
-Colors: Neutral colors, earthy colors, calm, trusting hues, browns, blues, oranges, greens, grays are all okay. If it's calm; you have carte blanche :)
- Must convey the nature of the business.
- Must be simple
- Must be Web 2.0 centric
Please do not:
- Have extremely bright colors
- Have too many shadows
- Have flip letters
- Have more than four colors
Attached is our current logo... good example of what we don't want.
Something simple... but effective is what we really need.
