We are a very small and new business which will offer adventure motorcycling rentals and tours in New Zealand. Typically a tour would consist of the rental of the motorcycle and equipment, a personalised tour and accommodation.
Once we have the the website and business up and running with the new logo, we have plans to expand to cover other countries and would then give the designer of this logo the opportunity to do the other logos and also T-Shirt designs.
Our target audience are motorcyclists from all over the world who want to experience an adventure of a lifetime on a motorcycle in one of the most scenic countries in the world.
They will be paying quite a lot of money for an adventure tour and so we would want the look and feel to give them the confidence that their money is well spent, the business is trustworthy yet fun and adventure is number one.
The age range is normally between 25 - 60 years and the typical client has a good, disposible income to allow them to afford these adventures. Typically they are mostly men however sometimes they do have wifes or girlfriends accompany them.
We require a logo to be designed which can be used not only on our website but also on emails, brochures, stickers, advertising cards, and possibley even T-shirts. Ultimately the logo will also be used on DVD's and films of the adventures.
The logo has to have the words : " BikeNZ" and a graphic. The wording can be done in any way which makes it stand out but must tie in well with the graphic. It must be designed so that it can be used on any of the above medium. It would be good if the graphic can occasionally be used by itself
A great example of what we have in mind is here: http://www.bikeroundnz.com
This site incorporates the company name and a graphic which represents riding a motorcycle and the feeling of freedom of New Zealand. We would like this kind of fresh and clever idea but do not want it to just be based on this one. Notice the use of the Kiwi (the bird is often used to symbolize New Zealand).
We have a preference of the colour blue to symbolise the New Zealand flag and colour of water there, but we will leave this up to the designer.
The logo also has to be adaptable in the future to allow the logo theme to be followed through to other countries (for example Australia, USA, UK) etc.
We are looking for the designer to let go and have fun here and be creative, whilst making it memorable.
We would want the winning logo to be provided in several formats.
