I am an investment banker/finacial advisor starting a holding company called Fort Allen LLC that will seek to acquire companies to be owned by the holding company, almost like a (very) mini Berkshire Hathaway or Leucadia National Corp. The holding company will acquire controlling interests in established small companies in a variety of industries. It may also provide investment banking and financial advisory services.
Target audience will be owners of small to mid-sized businesses that Fort Allen will seek to buy, and companies that Fort Allen will provide financial and investment banking advisory services to and sources of financing that would help Fort Allen make acquisitions. This will not be a retail or consumer focused brand. The branding itself will not be critical to the business, however must be successful in providing the culture and values of the firm and must convey a professional, confident image.
I am open to ideas but prefer a fairly simple, understated logo. Not at all cutesy or cartoonish or trendy. Must be very professional looking. Given the name, and location in Denver, Colorado, I envision an image of a (western-type cavalry) fort with possibly a mountain in the background. However, again, this is not set in stone.
Culture, values, themes that should be captured:
Honor, integrity, loyalty, reliability, trustworthy, confident, nservatism, etc.
Possibly a western theme (not overtly) but captures elements of the Code of the West.
