As music fans, we've been working on a side project for others of our kind.
setlisters.com is a simple hobby site for hardcore live music fans - a place for people to upload, browse, search, and discuss 'setlists' (song running sheets) from gigs they've attended. It's simple, but hopefully will be a useful resource for live music lovers. Now all it needs is an identity!
This isn't a big moneyspinner -- we just want a place for music fans to work on their obsessions, so casual and fun is the order of the day.

People who visit setlisters.com will probably be pretty hardcore music lovers. They might be a bit 'edgy' -- they're devoted to their favourite bands, love seeing live music, and might just be a little bit obsessive.
These are people who love smoke-stained rooms and carpet that smells like beer; shiny and 'Web 2.0' is probably not the look we're after.
We need a logo for our site for music hobbyists, setlisters.com. The site will probably be used be people who are obsessed with music -- the look we're after is pretty 'rock and roll'. The site isn't launched yet, but you can see a screenshot of what we've got so far in the attached materials.
People will be able to upload scans of the paper setlists they've obtained from concerts (the most obsessive fans can usually be seen hanging around near the stage after the gig to try and grab a copy of the setlist from a friendly band member or roadie!) so we're going for a slightly grungy, tattered look for the site (to match the way setlists usually look after a long night). Obviously we'd prefer something that will work with this simple look if possible, though we might be amenable to tweaking the design if a logo demands it.
Apart from that, we're open to creative and artistic interpretations. Use your imagination! We're happy to take inspiration from your ideas and experience.
