Am a landscape architect. I love fresh, quirky approaches to indoor and outdoor gardening.
oh bejeepers ....design heads, cottage gardeners, boring people, everyone ...just make it quirky, fun, readable and not a bluddy leaf that is green
I designed my website. Did not know what I was doing.
12 mnths later it is now at the computer geek factory getting all coded properly.
Its now time to give the overall image a bit of consideration as well.
Am reasonably happy with the current colours and aesthetic but I need my logo taken to a salon and given a professional makover.
I think the logo needs further work. There are two- three versions floating around the internet - all attached
I dont want a super polished feel. I would prefer a creative hand drawn feel ( but NOT hippy earth mamma)
Check out my website for my current feel http://www.gardenbeet.com
I like to push boundaries - go for it
BUT
The logo needs to read as an avatar on tweeter, website and print material. Simple not cluttered.
Image shall be in a format that I can simply place into the website as well as resize for small stickers and large posters.
I would also love someone to choose the fonts for the different parts of my website - the graphical bits (not the font to be read by robots). The headers - etc
The more in keeping with the current aesthetic of the website the better - as I have built a small amount of brand awareness - unless of course you think it is totally shite - tell me - and I will consider website plastic surgery
Garden Beet is a play on the beat of the garden.
If you can create an image that does not say GARDEN i am more likely to be drawn to it. Gardens are more than trees. And gardens are not only green.
Trees are serious. Garden Beet is not serious.
I like associating gardens with say something very ungarden .
A beet is funny. And I do like the shape but is there something else?
Would love to see a logo using the Harrods font (in London)
PLEASE NO MORE BEETS - if i go with a beet it will be number 10.
SOMETHING DIFFERENT> PLEASE
ALSO many of the designs submitted are too difficult to use on my website - the logo has to be pretty amazing to make me want to change colours and the left side of the menu bar
