My company is based in France but works with companies from all over Europe.
When thinking of a logo, I had thought of a globe design, something to show that languages are the main component of our company, that we have an international outlook. But I am not SET on having a globe!!!
My old logo has “Votre partenaire linguistique” under the logo. That is not necessary on the new logo.
My website domain will be something like "infact global" but the wording of "global" isn't necessary on the logo.
We are planning a flash animation on my future website with a map of the world and a plane that will take off from France to the country you click on... That may give you ideas.
I need my clients to understand that my company provides an international outlook for their company. Our translations follow strict quality methods. My business requires serious, exact and quality translations. That's one of the reasons why I called the company "in fact".
Though I love creative, crazy, eye-catching graphic designs I wonder whether they could cause my potential clients to think that I'm not a serious person or that my company provides poor quality, cartoonish translations. However, I have no experience in this domain, am probably dead wrong and am totally willing to trust you, the professional.
The files I've uploaded use my old logo. I don't know whether this can help you out or not, but I put it there anyway...
I forgot to talk about the letterheads and business cards... I love the idea of a black or grey business card so I'll need a logo that can either adapt to both backgrounds OR change the colors of the logo without changing the spirit of the logo to the specific background.
Finally, I hope you have fun toying with this project.
