Thrive Capital
I am a 30 year old professional in the investment management field. I am well educated - attended ivy league university for my MBA.
Currently, I am starting up my own private hedge fund to manage money for wealthy individuals.
The company's culture will be open and egalitarian. Fairness above all is our motto. Also, success can be achieved in a win-win manner. It doesn't have to be at the expense of others.
Wealthy individual investors - think successful business men / woman.
I am looking for an image / brand that is conservative, yet young and exciting. As my subtitle states the reason I chose Thrive Capital is because I wanted a name that evokes life, prosperity and success. The investment management field is extremely competitive so I want to let my prospective investors know that I will strive for excellence and succeed.
I don't want to seem arrogant or pretentious. Some successful hedge funds have created their image around mythical creatures (e.g. Cereberus Capital named after the 3 headed dog that guards the gates of hell). Obviously their intent is to create an intimidating image to communicate they will be on the offensive and guarding their clients money.
I want to achieve quite the opposite. I want to convey virtue & grace. Even though investing is eat or be eaten - I rather have a brand that promotes coopetition instead of competition.
I have been researching other mythical creatures and really liked what the Chinese Phoenix represented - just an idea.
