The word Arche’ is Greek in origin, and has many connotations, distilled as follows:
“From the beginning, from the first, from of Old, first principle, principle of conduct, principle of knowledge, method of government, empire, realm, heavenly power, authority, and magistrate”
The logo should be flexible enough to represent different regions and countries, perhaps simply with color? Example: Parent is “Arche’ International”, the local would be “Arche’ Africa International”.
The logo must be text + icon and may be used in print, web, or video formats, and able to identify Arche’ International without requiring both text and icon to be used simultaneously. However, it is our intent to use the text + icon together initially.
Color theme: Blue, green, brown are good colors with positive meanings pertaining to our ministry and focus. However, you are not limited to these colors. The successful design must be able to be used in monochrome black and white also.
Graphic style: Clean, simple, crisp. For inspiration, the founders of Arche’ appreciate the global aspects of the Mercator projection maps. See links for examples.
Arche’s initial focus is in Uganda, and it is acceptable for the logo to subtly reflect that.
The successful design must be delivered in vector image format, preferably in Adobe Illustrator file format.
