Please look at our current logo and an older font from the 1960's that we like - we want to steer this contest in the direction of incorporate this logo and font into a newer modern logo - We feel that the laurels should go as they make the logo look dated -

Selva Marina Country Club is located in Atlantic Beach Florida - 3 blocks to ocean
Established in 1958
Name of Selva Marina means "Forest by the Sea"
There is NO actual Marina or boats nor is it on the water
Tradtional Club with no homes on course - stand alone golf and country club

Orignal Course for The Players Championship - Known as Greater Jacksonville Open at the time
Club offers, Golf,Tennis, pool, fitness and dining
Great Heritage and History within the community

Targeted demographics age 30 to 60 singles and families
All will live within 15 minutes of club
Atlantic Beach is town of 10,000 people - Suburb of Jacksonville FL
Atlantic Beach has a small town feel
Socially Active - Community Oriented
Community spends alot of time outdoors, execising and enjoying the sun
Family Income in excess of $100,000
Area has many northeastern shingled cottages and beach homes

Goal is refresh Logo - Perserving the past but building for the future
Logo needs modern traditional feel
Area incudes Palm Trees, Windsweep oaks, beach, located close to intercoastal waterway (Does Not need to include any of these but can)

Full Name to be included in Logo but have symbol that can stand on its own

Colors to represent land and sea
Not muted but not bold
