PoundPay is a payments service in development that will allow you to receive money instantly and without fees. The money moves from the payer's bank account or credit card to your bank account -- no holding account like a PayPal account.
It works primarily over text message right now, but you can go online to the website that will be hosted at poundpay.com to sign up, link your bank account, and view profiles of people that use PoundPay
Craigslist sellers, personal trainers, tutors -- people who currently deal with cash or checks when exchanging money
We're looking to make the user feel comfortable and safe using the service
We'd like the British Pound Sterling symbol (£) to be incorporated into the logo: http://www.allfreelogo.com/images/v…5EusXW.jpg
The primary goal of the design on the site is to make users feel comfortable, safe, and secure. This doesn't mean a big lock. Instead, think of comfortable, safe, and secure as how you would feel lying in front of a fire place in your home under a warm blanket on a cold night holding a loved one.
Use http://mint.com as motivation of what comfortable, safe, and secure mean
Must have the words "PoundPay". Play around with capitalization.
UPDATE [8/12/10]: After some thought about different concepts, I *really* like the approach in: http://www.allfreelogo.com/images/v…5EusXW.jpg
The basic concept is that the logo itself is secure :). The designer copied the security features that would appear in paper notes in the logo. I like the approach because it makes me feel comfortable and secure without locks or checks. I immediately associate the coloring with security and feel good. I'd love to see designs using this approach with the words "£PoundPay".
