I am competing with the total Australian market. I want to appeal to Yachties all over Australia as they often travel to buy boats. I want to have their best interests at heart, from accomodation to offering best boat. A typical Yachtie are quite often elite people, looking for quality yachts be it the most technologically advanced racing boats, to the comfortable world crusiers, and not discounting the Joe blows who enjoy sailing in a different realm.
In general the market is second hand boats, as we do not offer a new dealership, although we would like to in the future. Melbourne's yachting scene and facilities are outstanding and only getting better with new devlopments at St Kilda Yacht squadrants occuring within the next 5 years. Demographics: Between 40 and 70 years of age, some are retired. The Wives are usually the ones buying the boats.
The logo must be elegant, proffessional, appealing to 40-70 year old market, must have world conotations, and be appealing to women.
I want people to know my business is not just selling yachts, its also the associated services. there are at least 20 other services (yacht insurances, cleaning services, accomodation services, anti-fouling (putting anti-foul underneath the hull)) that will be associated with the brand name, so wether or not you think its wise to put it in the logo is up to you.
I also want my website to be a one stop shop for pepole that want to have easy access to quality services for yachts.
I am selling sailing boats, not motor yachts. I am selling boats designated for sailing; be it racing around the carnes, or pleasure crusies in the whitsundays.
