I am a wedding and portrait photographer in San Diego, CA and am in the middle of a complete rebranding of my company. I've taken some time to think about who I really am as a photographer, who I want my clients to be and how I approach shooting, and want my new logo to fit that. My current logo is nowhere near what I want. In fact, its completely the opposite feel of who I really am. I am looking for something more high end looking for sure. If people are trusting me for their wedding day, I need a logo that inspires that trust. I have a very high energy level when I shoot and try and make it as fun as possible for everyone involved. I'm often told I have a "bubbly" personality and my current logo does not reflect that.
My main target audience is newly engaged women, roughly ages 23-35, professionals who value good photography and are willing to pay for it, who have a unique sense of style. At the same time, I also need something that won't alienate my other market segments: young families for portraits and high school seniors. The main focus though is wedding photography, so that should be the highest factor in making a creative decision.
My new branding colors are going to be shades of gray and pinks-not hot/bold pink, but most other shades are great. You have some leeway here as I will wait on other things until I know the logo colors. (Please be able to tell me the exact colors in the logo.)
My current website is http://www.hybrid-photography.com but please don't pay attention to the colors or current feel. I only point you there to see the gist of my body of work. I want my new logo to have a juxtaposition of vintage and modern, classic and fun, high end but still accessible. That's a tall order, I know, and not very specific, but that's why I'm trusting you all. :) Think Anthropologie, stylemepretty.com and theweddingrow.com
Some things I don't want:
-anything to do with a camera, lens, film, or something of that nature
-no stock images or clip art please
-nothing cheap looking or cheesy
-please don't use the HP initials in the design
In addition to knowing the specific colors used, I'll need the logo in print format (CMYK) and web format (RGB, jpg and layered PSD please)
Thanks in advance and I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
