Pinkbook Photography
I am a photographer. That was easy!
Hmm, I guess I can't just put that now can I??
I am little bit wacky...once you get to know me.
I like clean and simple but occasionally I like to throw in a hit of something else just to keep it interesting.
I have had a love of photography since I was 10 but never developed it into anything more than a love.
My son was born in 2006 which motivated me to do more with photography but it wasn't until my dad died suddenly in 2008 that photography became really important to me. I realized that I would never be in another picture with him, I would never get to take another picture of him. I also realized that when I had the chance I didn't really take pictures of my dad and as I result I didn't have many to remember him by.
It was from that point forward (and part of my healing) that I immersed myself in learning photography, from what ever sources, teachers, classes, books I could. Photography consumed me and in the process, I turned it into a little business.
I learned the hard way just how important pictures are. So now, not only do I try to take more pictures of my own family but of other peoples families as well.
I feel truly lucky that people trust me to capture the memories of their families, babies, bellies etc. I put my heart and soul into it for reasons they have no idea about and I kind of like it that way.
My target audience is usually women, 28 and up. Upscale clients that appreciate the boutique experience. They value the little touches, the packaging etc.
I would like my logo to say:
Baby without rattles and diaper pins etc,
Upscale,
clean,
fresh,
a bit of whimsy,
boutique
My colour pallet is currently pink and grey or white and pink with hints of grey. I am fairly sure that I would like to keep those colours but I am open to variations if they are just irresistible.
I currently have a flower in my logo and I feel that most likely I would like to keep some variation of that in my logo but once again am open to other ideas should they prove to be irresistible.
I would like for my current clients to look at the new logo and hopefully recognize it as a redesign of my old logo and not a new company all together.
I require a logo/version that can stand on it's own on a white background as well as a grey background should the logo require it. My current logo/colour scheme requires 2 or more versions. I may only require one in the end depending on the submissions.
Have fun and thank you for your consideration!
