Brickwood Motorsport is a small business designed to run and maintain a race car in Australian state and national competitions for a father and son team. Brickwood Motorsport currently runs a VK Commodore and its race team has a passion for all things Holden. See the official Holden Racing Team website here: http://www.hrt.com.au/racing/2010/home/
Brickwood Motorsport has been built from an expensive hobby into a financially neutral passion. This has been achieved by inviting businesses to sponsor the team and in return they receive advertising benefits through a variety of streams – promo material, motor vehicle sign writing and website.
In order to maintain existing sponsors and attract new ones, a logo and website is required.
The team uses the acronym BMS as an abbreviation.
Australian motorsport is a thriving industry with fanatical and typically blue-collar support. The branding of Brickwood Motorsport needs to attract new potential sponsors to sustain the racing team and provide a mutually beneficial relationship between team and sponsor. It can be assumed a potential sponsor is a motor enthusiast. Local small businesses are the preferred sponsors.
This logo needs to be suitable as a decal for the Brickwood Motorsport race car. See attached photo of race car.
The vision for the logo includes the following:
• Race team colours of red, black and white
• Use of helmet or race track curves in logo
• A passion for racing
The logo must be supplied as a vector image with a CMYK, RGB and mono version.
It is important that logo and website do not lose the feeling of family, mateship and strong support for local business.
The focus for the primary logo should be on the full team name "Brickwood Motorsport". You may include a variation of a logo using "BMS" as a substitute.
Please avoid "BMS Motorsport" - this does not make sense. Use the full name for a primary logo and should you choose to make a variation, feel free to use "BMS".
