Alive @ the Center
we are deep sensitive creatures who enjoy connecting with ourselves and others deeply. were emotional and creative and visually inclined. at the heart of our center is a spiritual practice that engages the right side of the brain....we can do the left brain stuff but we live out of our right, out of our hearts.
soul seekers, professionals, mental and spiritual care givers, artists, social activists, and organizations
persons with less access to financial resources and those who feel unseen and devalued by mainstream institutions.
ALIVE @ the Center expresses our faith within an ecumenical Christian tradition while welcoming persons of all faith communities, as well as those with no religious affiliation. Expressions of spirituality might include connection with God revealed in Christ as well as awareness of sacred source within, between and all around that invites aliveness, compassion and justice.
were looking for a symbol that emphasizes the process of growth. we want to host the atheist, the christian the buddhist so bridging people of disparate ideologies is a value however we dont want an image as concrete as a bridge. we'd be more inclined toward something that shows fluidity like a fluid membrane, neuron, web, relational interconnectedness, perhaps an organic visual metaphor, something of an organic emergent nature.
as i said we want to emphasize the PROCESS of GROWTH, a growing process, a nurturing process that not only includes the spring times but also the winter bareness of existence sometimes. descriptive words we like nurturing, tending to a garden, the elements of garden such as roots, soil seed, depth, nurtrients needed. but we dont want something as cliche as one tree.
We dont want explicitly religious symbols.
Please feel free to experiment with colors.
Organic, but not cliche please.
