we are a new site catering to the people who build their project cars themselves. no rules, just plain cool. not necessarily of the 1950's culture, but can be from the 50's to current. not only including rat rods (cars that have the rusty, ugly look), but also beautiful hot rods, and muscle cars (60's to 70's camaro's mustangs, firebirds, etc) we dont want to fit in, we need to stand alone, out from the crowd. no nonsense, no politics, just cool car guys looking to make a statement with their creation. and we provide them the tools to make their innovative designs happen

our audience should not cater to a certain age. we try to influence the young, yet attract the die hard, stuck in their ways, older crowd who really know what they want. our audience are most likely rough, blue collar workers, with some pencil pushers mixed in. rat rods are traditionally 50's style, rock-a-billy. we enjoy that, but we need to go further. to attract the young to adapt to this lifestyle, or to create a new lifestyle to our up and coming young. muscle cars have the majority of the baby boomers, but now are attracting their children. hot rods are anyone, but more classy, more demanding
the logo should surround the site name "rat rod authority" we want and will become the authority and all things cool for cars. and we would like to have a logo that will leave a lasting impression on anyone who sees it, be it on t-shirts or business cards. we want to see it and say "damn, thats cool!" no holds barred, the cooler the better. the first impression is everything.
