We're a young ad and e-commerce analytics company founded by two data geeks. We use an e-commerce merchant's data to predict what people will do, click or buy next or in the future and optimize ad spend and other business metrics with those predictions. Our algorithms are much more adaptable than the standard predictive analytics techniques, and we integrate flexibly as SaaS with a strict minimum of fuss.
We work with younger, nimbler and more exciting e-commerce companies: those with exciting business models, those in an extreme growth phase and those who are staking out new markets via the application of extreme technology. We're not in competition with the IBMs or the SASs of this world; their technology just doesn't adapt to our clients. We're also not a faceless ad channel as we work together with our clients and the ad ecosystem to optimize their ad spend.
Up until now, we've been concentrating on building our tech and our client list and generally staying under the radar. But we've got a big announcement coming up soon and we need an identity.

4. Developers that want to do a skunkworks project on their site; not necessarily the CEO (though it's got to be CEO acceptable).
We are b2b, so we don't want anything that's too way out.
Something that says "opposite of SAS or IBM, young, flexible, nimble".
Distinctive enough that we can get some brand recognition when we make a buzz
Not too pastel in the colour scheme.
If possible, try not to incorporate the text too closely into the logo. We may want to change our trade name but not the logo.
