SpeechRocket.com is an exciting new website providing tips and tools to help professionals write brilliant speeches that achieve results.
SpeechRocket is founded by a professional writer (that's me!) who already works with top speakers to maximise the impact of their speeches and presentations.
I now need a distinctive, fun, eye-catching logo for the website and other marketing materials.
SpeechRocket.com is aimed at anyone who regularly speaks to medium or large groups of people as part of their work. It is likely that they need to achieve a specific result, e.g. to educate, motivate or persuade their audience.
1) Professional speakers working on the public speaking circuit
2) Business people who speak regularly at seminars and conferences
3) Professional trainers who deliver courses or seminars to groups of people
The aim of the website is to provide free information to this target audience but also to build the profile and credibility of the founder, ultimately leading to sales of information products and one-to-one consulting work.
The name SpeechRocket was chosen because I believe the expert advice provided on the site and in the weekly newsletter will put a 'rocket' under any speech and dramatically 'boost' the results.
The logo should consist of two elements:
1) a graphical element - depicting a rocket taking off
2) the text SpeechRocket
The graphical element will also be used in isolation as an icon. For example:
- a Twitter icon
- a Facebook icon
- an iPhone app icon
So, it should:
- remain clear and distinctive at relatively small sizes and resolutions
- look good in a square frame, i.e. not so skinny that there's more white space than rocket
If there is some neat way for the rocket element to also incorporate the concept of speech or speaking then that would be great. However, this is not an essential requirement - I would not want to do this at the expense of a clean, elegant logo.
The logo should be colourful, fun and professional. The Twitter logo (bird graphic plus Twitter text) is a good reference point here - they are very recognisable and playful but also look very professional.
Since the target audience is professional people the logo must also look smart and professional.
I would like to receive the final design as SVG and high-resolution PNG.
I have tried to produce a very clear brief so that should be quick and easy for an experienced designer to produce a great design. I will provide prompt feedback on designs and I have added $50 to the standard prize in the hope that my project will attract some great designers. Thanks and good luck!
