use either: CatalystHub or CatalystHub Inc. (or Incorporated)
CatalystHub is all about social media and knowledge sharing - getting people together to share ideas, lives, knowledge.
We are looking for something to reflect our fun, creative approach to technology.
overall goal is to illustrate with intuitive graphics what c.h.i. is about -- the bringing together of ideas, bouncing them off each other, and seeing what kind of magic we can make pop out.
the clackers presents one option for how to intuitively represent objects bumping together, where the force of the impact of a new ball hitting the chain travels through the set, casting their force out the far end.
at CHI, we imagine that each ball represents an idea or person with ideas in the group. once you introduce a new one, you create a new range of ideas whereby the original idea is modified by each person it touches.
we're looking for a simple yet stylish and intuitive way to best represent that, preferably in a form which works for an independent logo.
It has to be easily recognizable as a standalone symbol without accompanying text), works for business cards (can be played down to no more than 2 colours), and has potential for banners and animations.
preferably include a *very subtle* reference to the kanji "chi" or "ki", since our acronym spells c.h.i., and the meaning matches our way of thinking and how we work and live.
1) submit on both white & black background. (logo will be used on both print & web)
2) *vector image only* for scaleability
3) please do not submit the standard "hub" image, thanks!
4) colour schema: blues/grays
5) Typeface - "Amienne" or similar "clean yet curvy" (no "curlique" style) – looking for “professional, yet creative"
Upon completion, the winning entry will need to provide us with:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB) (and .psp if you have it)
We will need the files with logo image only, and logo + text.
Logo + text files should include "CatalystHub" and "CatalystHub Inc" (or CatalystHub Incorporated)
We may ask you to include a tagline once the final image style has been decided.
Provide TTF files if not using "Amienne"
