We are a cupcake bakery that offers a small breakfast/lunch menu, as well as beer and wine. We're a business that caters to the young as well as young at heart, a neighborhood shop where your kids can gobble up a treat while you enjoy a cocktail.
We will be located in a "new urban" style planned neighborhood (urban design movement); 1400 homes have the ability to walk (or ride golf carts) from their homes to the Town Center where we have restaurants and shops. The neighborhood slogan is, "old time neighborhood with modern conveniences" where you work, live and play.
We are bringing the cupcake trend to our area, as there is currently nothing else like it. But our twist on the common cupcake bakery is the fact we will offer food, wine and beer pairings as well.
My personal blog is stepfordlife.com and my "slogan" is "batteries not included". It's like I seem mainstream and normal, but on the inside I'm nutty and unpredictable. My business theme is very much the same.
The target audience is everyone in general. However, the logo should be simple, aesthetically pleasing, fun yet not child oriented. We hope to not only focus on our everyday customers for cupcakes, drinks, and simple meals; we will also fill custom order, host babyshowers, bridal showers, birthdays, and such.
Adults are our main customers because they pay for everything, but it needs a little quirk so kids will know "they have cupcakes".
The theme & decor of the establishment will be an adult Mad Hatter's Tea Party. I love the background of my twitterpage @cupcrazed- damask print (classy), ripped open with a swirly unexpected spiral underneath. classy with a side of fun. The artists will freedom to have fun and be expressive, but this is my Do and Don't list:
- the logo should be our name: CUPCRAZED, I'd like the U in "CUPCRAZED" to be a cupcake, or different letter if you can make it work? "Alice in Wonderland" like typefont- Interesting, but not really pretty or girlie. Try any colors that aren't strictly feminine. Obviously no pink.
U Cupcake should mix these 2- simple, springy on top, cupcake liner should fit font mold somehow, making the U shape obvious
-Don't bother writing "dessert bar" in the logo, I'm first focusing on how I want the name CUPCRAZED
-The cupcake has to be created from a letter in our name, not separate.
-Don't pick colors combos that are hot and trendy, or neon/bright. I love the 80s but not everyday
-Please don't base it on anything used by other cupcake bakeries out there.
-Don't make it childlike, and NO people/characterature in the logo.
