Student Accommodation Guide

We are launching an online student accommodation guide. It's a directory of purpose-built student accommodation buildings in different cities. Our clients will be these buildings paying to list on the site.

Our users will be international students from all over the world researching student accommodation options in different cities.

We have a very specific brief.

We want to express the concept of "student" with a book, and the concept of "accommodation" with a house/building.

So the idea is to have a book forming the roof of a building - ie open, face down forming an upside down "V".

The building underneath could also be made of books.. or simple apartment building icon...

We want something very clean, very elegant, crisp.

Other thoughts;

May work best as black and white, in a portrait oblong. Ie black box with logo reversed.

Having a black box would work well sitting to the left of the three lines of text we need for the site name;

I'd suggest delivering on that brief first.

No objection if you then want to then try to improve on it though!

The no list;
- No references to Australia (the site just happens to be for australia).
- No graduation caps.
