Canberra Government and Public Affairs Bulletin
We are a start-up non-profit that is launching a weekly newsletter in Canberra. We need a great, clean, professional design using the formats available on http://www.constantcontact.com.
Nothing like this exists in Canberra and we hope to build circulation up to 5000.
This newsletter is targeted to the most senior government ministers, advisors and academics in Australia's capital city. The newsletter will arrive in their email boxes at 8am on Monday telling them cleanly and concisely what events are on that week. There will be 4-5 public policy events and 1 cultural event.
We are using http://www.constantcontact.com as our template. To get started, go in and create a new profile there, and then you can begin designing!
Newsletters and websites we like include Peterson Institute for Economics, Lowy Institute, Dalberg Global Development Advisors.
The newsletter layout should have the following features:
- Section at the top that highlights what is below in the events listing
- The weekly events (policy) - perhaps one colour for all of these?
- One cultural event - perhaps another colour or shade for the one cultural event
- Closing statement
- Easy way to unsubscribe from newsletter
Colour can be anything, but I think a clever use of shading would be good. Also, a modern font would be so much better than what we are currently using.
Attached below is our first shot at this, called "This week in Canberra"...BUT it is not good enough, which is why we are putting this out to the experts. But this would be precisedly the kind of content that needs to be included.
The aim of the game here is to create a powerful, professional easy to read newsletter that people DON'T want to delete from their inboxes. The powerpoint presentation attached has a few examples
If your design is chosen then you can just pass us the username and password for the constant contact account.
