We'd like the design of a full-page newspaper ad to introduce our daily deal service to the market. The ad is a co-op ad with one of the major local bank, whose credit card business is the market leader.
Conceptually, the ad should be broken into roughly three zones (each about a third of the page). The first third should contain info on us and the daily deals business; the second third should contain live examples of deals; while the final third should contain information from the bank about their credit card offering.
This is not hard and fast, only guidance. However, I'd like to at least keep the last third of the page for the bank, with the deals message and samples showcased in the upper two-thirds of the page.
The ads will be placed in two separate newspapers -- one a tabloid and the other a broadsheet. Effectively, you'll be designing one ad, (starting with the one for the tabloid), but you'll need to modify it slightly so that it also works for the broadsheet. The dimensions of the respective papers are as follow:
Tabloid --> 25cm (w) x 35cm (h)
Broadsheet --> 30cm (w) x 52cm (h)
