Put your creative prowess to work to design the cover for our new crowdsourced title, "Humble for President." BUSINESS BACKGROUND: Crowdscribed--A book publishing company that pioneers new uses of technology in book creation, delivery, marketing, which creates collaboration between the author and readers. Crowdscribed utilizes crowdsourcing to create content, design, marketing, and advertising, which means work gets done fast, with a high level of innovation. The most common types of projects Crowdscribed oversees are: 2.0 versions of popular books, event-based books, corporate books, etc. Crowdscribed is a publishing company that links the power of the Internet crowd to book creation, construction, development, and marketing.

PROJECT SUMMARY Crowdscribed is publishing a book titled "Humble for President." This project is to design a color cover design for this new book. About the book - Humble for President is a non-partisan, grassroots movement that asks our next president—and the voters who will elect them—to rise to a new level. Not to toe the party line. Not to bow to any interest group or issue. But to campaign and govern with humility. And it’s a call for a new style of leader—a humble, responsive, confident leader—to lead this great nation. This humility gives a leader the capacity to lead out of a position of strength rather than weakness; the courage to set aside personal gain for the good of others; the candor to be honest with the American people, and change course when it’s necessary without fear of criticism; and the character to respond charitably when attacked by the other side of the aisle, breaking the stranglehold that partisan politics has on our political process. CREATIVE BRIEF Spec and file format information - Need the completed cover design file in the following file formats: PSD, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, EPS. The final submission (format) should be in 300DPI (Dots Per Inch) resolution. -We need a front, back, and spine design. We are wanting the image to wrap around the entire cover, so that it has an edgy appeal to it. In other words, we want a main image on the front cover, with elements of that main image spreading across the book's spine and back cover, making a full image when the book is opened and laying flat. -As of right now, the book's trim size is 6x9; however that might change in the future, so the image needs to be able to be re-sized easily. -Needs to use red, white, and blue in some capacity -The author does not wish his name to appear on the cover TARGET AUDIENCE This book's target audience is male and female American voters from college age to late thirties. It can also be targeted at any college-age-to-30-something looking for a leadership position of any kind. This target audience is a bit wide, but generally, they're all adults who are interested in a new style of leadership, one that promotes humility not just in office but in everyday life. These people are they type to read and watch the news on TV and online and follow politics closely. They are often promoting a candidate, petition, or law; they are active in their local government and interested in national government activities. They are tired of trash talk and want to see action in new policies and compromise between parties. WHAT DESIGN STYLES/CONCEPTS TO CONSIDER - edgy, unexpected, powerful designs - unusual presentations of the American flag and/or American symbolism (five-point stars, - Something of a retro, "Golden Era" (1940s - 1960s), or vintage look (Please see included imagery examples. Design does not and should not replicate any of these designs exactly, however these reflect general design concepts that would work). - red, white, and, blue accents WHAT DESIGN STYLES/CONCEPTS TO AVOID We want this concept to be edgy and unique, like a throwback to the vintage design concepts as listed above. Please try to refrain from the following when executing this design: - contemporary political campaign images - standard business or modern pop culture styles
AUTHOR'S LOGO: -Attached in the reference images under "Humble Logo" are a few images of something the author is considering to use for marketing. Though we don't want the image to be the main focus of the design, if you can integrate the logo into the design, it would really bring the cover together for the author.
