Qi Gong
We are creating a series of DVD's and CD's on health and wellness topics. The first project is a DVD on qi gong exercises to improve health. Qi gong originated in Asia and is similar to tai chi. It was taught to Buddhist monks to build energy, strength and life force. It is a series of movement exercises and breathing techniques. The video instructs viewers how to perform the exercises and is interspersed with images of nature and relaxing music. The setting is outdoor natural environments for the majority of the footage. We want to inspire people to take better care of themselves from a body-mind-spirit perspective and to lead a more balanced life. The tone of the video is peaceful, grounded and inspiring!
It would be nice for the cover to have a grounded Eastern zen-like feel to it. It does not necessarily need to have a picture of a person on it. It can also just show a picture, for example - a Buddhist temple, a statue, a lotus, a misty mountain, or zen-like nature image. If it does include an image of a person, it would be good if the image details of the person were not easily recognizable such as a basic silhouette outline against a sunset. The design should have a relaxing yet uplifting and inspiring feel to it.
General public age 25 to 65 who are interested in natural healing, meditation and eastern philosophy. People who are interested in alternative health and wellness and want to take control of their own health.
We would like to package the DVD in a standard clear CD jewel-case. We need a design for the CD case and for on the CD itself. We would like the design to be simple but to stand out.
The CD jewel case has a clear removable CD tray inside it. We would need a double-sided design to cover all exposed areas:
1) front outside cover of case (double-sided so that a design shows on inside cover of case when you open it up)
2) back cover of case (double-sided so that a design or image also appears under the clear CD tray inside the case.) The back cover should also fold up to cover the slim spine of the case which shows on the outside of the CD case when it is closed.
3) the cover of the actual circular CD disc itself.
Please see attached image of the standard CD jewel case to see the surfaces that would need to be covered and also attachment showing the info that needs to be included somewhere on the CD cover. Feel free to be creative and put the information where you feel it would fit best.
