We have a current dental newsletter that I would like a fresh look for. The only twist is that I don't want it to look too professional. I've uploaded an InDesign4 file of our current edition that you can use for the redesign to make it easier. All the copy is there.
Here's the link:
I want the final design also to be in InDesign (preferably InDesign 4)
I want the final newsletter to look "homegrown" and "personal" - like someone in the office sat down and put it together. You can use different fonts, turn things sideways. Whatever. Get creative.
Believe it or not, these kinds of newsletters get better responses because they ARE different - not as professional as others send out. They give a more personal, "relationship" feeling. Please know how much I enjoy and respect the talent of graphic designers, so when I say I want it non-professional, please don't take offense.
Have fun with this!!! Add graphics/clipart like a non-graphic artists might add if you think it fits. (no people stock photos though). I love handwriting fonts - so add them in places you think they'd work.
The final should be either just black or at most - two colors, with the second color being a spot color (for printing on a 2-color press).
