The design I've reached for is a simple one .A clean and straight to point, but still sophisticated design.
As you can see, the background is ivory with a faded map,which is actually the original map of Arizona dating from 1880.
The author, the illustrator and the title are blending with the map,offering a mysterious air that is associated with a treasure hunt.
The title is prominent as wished and it's also made of golden leaf with a straight connection to the book content.
The surprise-element is the compass pointing straight to the Superstition Mountains the place where the action takes place, an obvious fact but it's also hard to find if you don't look for it.(Near the compass on the right side)
The font I used is the original font used on the map.
The image is made using the standard eBook size.
The book cover is itself a treasure finding and all the elements point to the content and are also clues.

It was a delight working on it.
