Original cover art done for Retiens l'été by Kevin Pinon. It is a modern love and adventure novel in which the main character, a high school student, discovers his homosexuality and is set in the French Riviera. The antagonist is a member of an occult Nazi religion- an occult sect around the "Black Sun".

The main concept for the artwork was to depict the mystery and romance in a blended way. The red eye depicts the romantic part as well as the sunset. The overall design is done with an idea to connect the historical reference with a modern touch.
