Even though “Jack lo SquartaTorte” is a surreal story, the mystery is authentic. That’s why the challenge was to create a cover that looked like a real thriller with a humorous touch. To achieve that, I created a believable crime scene where a ginger man lies in a victim position while being surrounded by real police band. Even more, the ginger man is bleeding red syrup instead of real blood. Finally, I completed the thriller mood by adding a grungy finish. As a self-published author, Paul understood the importance of a professional book cover. I am happy he decided to change his old cover and most of all, I am ecstatic he loved my design style and idea. Paul started his project brief by stating that he had a dream—to be read. I am very confident that his new professional cover design is the first step to achieving his goal.
