A take on the Kentucky Derby’s 2022 logo design, made for Equestrian Bridges and their 10th annual mini derby! The event includes a derby watch-party as well as mini horse racing! so fun. 🤠

My reimagined design includes the same color palette, general shape and text composition as the Kentucky Derby reference. I added the silhouette of a miniature pony and replaced the original “148” with a “10” in a similar type-face, as it marks their tenth annual event. Moving forward, I would add a simple line drawing of the two castle-like structures from Churchill Down’s racetrack somewhere in the background to help fill out the space.
