I need some flyers for an event which is part amateur show, and part professional dancing. The flyer should appeal to the belly dance community, as well as the general public, plus any ethnic communities that would be interested in the show. I am putting on two shows, and would like one side of the flyer devoted to each show. The first show is with Khaled & Guests, the Second is with Aziza & Guests.
BellyDance Divas
Tagline:
World Class Belly Dance
Desired Color Scheme:
Open (but I don't want to see Khaled in Pink!)
Desired Style:
Open, I like the PHOTOs pages of this webiste http://www.alimahdances.com/photogallery.php, and I have a thing for Fabric & Diamontes
Accepted File Formats:
Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); In the format required by http://www.djflyers.co.uk/tandc.asp - Also as Photoshop
*If possible I'd like the work submitted as Photoshop & jpg*
Eventual file size is A7 (which is 74mm x 105 mm), but I'd also like to use it for some posters, so would like it portrait format please.
The aim is to use an image of the main (professional) dancer of the evening, who is a male bellydancer. I like the shots of him that look quite 'male' - particularly the top right shot on this webpage (he's in a black/gold costume).
http://www.bodoura.com/khaled/gallery.html. If you feel another shot would work better, then go ahead with it. Khaled shouldn't look fat in any of the shots - you can fix the photos if you need to.
For the Aziza show, images can be used from http://www.azizashimmy.com/
The flyer should be applicable to those in the belly dance community (who refer to these events as 'Hafla's' - the general non ethnic public, and ethnic groups who also could be interested in attending. This could include the Arab speaking community, Turkish, and Indian/Pakistan communities.
It should also be clear that the flyer is *not* a ticket. In the past, I've had people turn up with them thinking they are tickets!
It should include the following information for the Khaled show:
Egyptian Dance Hafla - Performances

Â
The flyer should also show a special offer I am putting on : "Free Belly Dance Class at 7.15pm for Hafla ticket holders (spaces in the free class are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis) ."
For the Aziza Show:
Â
"Hafla - Performances

The following text which is applied to both events is : " Don't miss our classes and workshops running all weekend at both events details & class bookings at at http://www.bellydancedivas.co.uk should also be included.
I like the idea of having some arabic writing on the flyer, as it makes the whole thing look more authentic, and could actually be of use to Arabic speakers.
The flyer should also indicate that the show is family friendly.
Colour Scheme is open, but I don't want to see Khaled surrounded by pink!
The flyer will have two sides, one for each event.
Please don't use any cheezy hareem looking scenes, and *if* you need to use more photos of a bellydancer, use mine http://www.bellydancingcaroline.com (there are also more shots of Aziza on http://www.bellydancedivas.co.uk in her Bio section).
Â
The Flyers should include the words "BellyDance Divas Presents:", or "A BellyDance Divas Production"
