If "paying it forward" rings true, we need you. Someone WILL win.
Each year, families from two Dallas area schools meet in west Dallas on eight consecutive Saturdays to build a home, start-to-finish, for a family who otherwise wouldn't have one. This annual Habitat for Humanity tradition began 4 years ago and has grown to involve and impact hundreds of families. Everyone wins - the kids, their parents, the schools, the families who receive each home, and the greater Dallas community. Kids and their parents build side-by-side in communities they'd never otherwise visit.

We need an awesome design to promote this project! The TARGET audience who'll be wearing these shirts are high school kids, but they'll also be worn by parents & teachers. Above all, we want these t-shirts to be something that both girls and boys will WANT to wear. They are so proud of this incredible project and they want to spread the word.
This design is for a short sleeve t-shirt. Please use no more than 4 spot colors (no 4-color process, please).
I've uploaded a PDF file with the images of actual homes and floor plans we build. PLEASE USE THESE IMAGES IN YOUR DESIGN. You can remove some of the detail to make them more simple (siding or bricks, etc) if you'd like, and don't pay attention to the colors. Use whatever colors you'd like. Please use an image of the FRONT of the house on the FRONT PANEL of the t-shirt, and the FLOOR PLAN on the BACK PANEL of the t-shirt.
The following words must be included in the primary design on the FRONT of the t-shirt:
2012 St. Mark's and Hockaday
We also need to give credit on the t-shirt to 7 families for financially sponsoring each home. These names should clearly be secondary in the design, but they need to be worked into the BACK of the t-shirt:
FAMILY SPONSORS INCLUDE
Michel (John '10, Elizabeth '15)
Hicks (William '10, Catherine '12)
Watumull (Connor '10, Garrett '12)
Winston (Haley '13)
Your Name (Name '13, Name '13)
Your Name (Name '14, Name '14)
Your Name (Name '15, Name '15)
And it might be cool to put the sponsor names INSIDE the floor plan, listed in each room! For example, in the actual floor plan, instead of saying "Living Room" you could list "Michel (John '10, Elizabeth '15)", and so on.
Somewhere in the design, on the front or back, you might also want to insert the phrase "Paying it Forward" ... stylized, secondary messaging.
Be sure to specify your recommended t-shirt color and display your design on that color.
And as a special bonus, we'll also send a few finished t-shirts to the winner of this design contest so that you'll see the finished product!
