Almost anyone who’s lived off-campus during their college years (or who has a kid who’s done so) knows that students and their landlords benefit very little from the sort of technological innovation that has begun to revolutionize other areas of the real estate sector. Without realtors or a centralized listings service, students and their parents resort to word of mouth and “For Rent” signs to locate housing. Payment is typically conducted via bank check and recorded using old-school rent tables. Communication between student tenants, many of whom are living out of home for the first time, and their landlords is often strained,
Afito seeks to establish a comprehensive platform that modernizes this segment of the housing sector. A centralized listings service will bring the search process online. An easy to use electronic payment platform will replace physical checks and rent tables. A dedicated communication suite will ensure that landlord-tenant communication is easy and effective. In short, Afito seeks to harness the power of technology to modernize the curiously antiquated student housing market.

a. Need a drop down menu of all colleges in the United States for them to chose from. Allow them to sign in. Allow landlords to sign up. Suggest properties based on the college closest to their location.
2. Listing Page with filter options
a. Detail Page similar to streeteasy
3. Building Page
a. Same features as streeteasy. Allow to drill down into individual properties within the building.
4. Single Property Page
a. Same features as streeteasy
a. Similar to building links. Need to show how much total rent is owed. Allow the landlord to charge late fees. Any new messages. Any new maintenance tickets. A graphical representation of rent paid compared to rent due for the previous 6 months.
