Site design for a photography site - NO CODING

The site is about the photographs, so we need an eye catching modern look to showcase them without detracting from them.

The site is a redesign of the existing site at http://www.soniahalliday.com you can see some examples of the photographs but all the photogrpahs are being rescanned at much larger resolution.
Please don't use design ideas from the existing site.

Sonia Halliday Photographs

This site is going to contain 1000's of religious and historical photographs taken over 50 years by the same photographer.

The site should have a modern feel to it with a split level look.

The top part of the page should include the brand name and this image http://www.webdesigns4u.uk.com/deva…AN0001.jpg

- login It should also have a login box and a search box - the search box must allow for a quick search and a more complex search system.

The middle part of the page should contain the following categories
- stained glass
- world cultures
- archaeology
- aerial photography
- architecture
- manuscripts
- wall paintings
- mosaics
- mythology
- otherWe see this being represented by photographs but you can use place holders for now.

The bottom section of the site would contain text navigation to the pages, plus copyright and legal notices.

Professional looking site, this is world class photography.

The background of the site should span the page, although the design itself should be centred and 1280px side.

The colours should not detract from the photographs but you can use colours taken from the image above as signature colours throughout the site (for instance the menu bar could take on a colour from the image)

Don't compromise the centre space where the images will be but if your design needs it we can do a fading slideshow of images

in another part of the page. An example of what I want in the centre section would be

The final file should be a layered psd

The client is open to ideas, I will feed most through unless they completly ignore the brief.
