I research the topic involving teens and bullying situations and generated a poster and film titles including drawing elements, handmade paint typographies, and photography. For this commission, I worked very closely with the film director Brian Hermida Stubbe to achieve the best result.")

In-house designers had to present ideas, mood boards and mock-ups for this topic. I generated a series of characters in the retro illustration style, those characters represent the diversity of people in Scotland. This idea was chosen to be the final concept and produce a range of interesting materials. I planned to created stickers, masks, and thank you cards to include in the pack with those products requested by the commissioner, a brochure, a sponsor sheet, and a folder. Commissioner also requested to generate the brochure as a comic, considering the short deadline I came with the idea of selecting comic typographies and design some of the pages as comic pages including real stories of real day Heros. I lead this project covering 3 roles, art director, illustrator, and graphic designer, with the support of my colleagues to complete some of the products.")

Carolina Cancanilla is an illustrator and graphic designer from Andalucía working worldwide from Scotland. Her work practice is focused on communicating complex concepts using a vivid style full of warm colours, creating illustrations for editorial, book cover, products and picture books. Currently she is producing animations in collaboration with professional sound designers.
Her work has been published by clients in the UK and Spain such as La Factoría Prisa and BBC History among others.
