The design are created for the appeal to the young reader in mind. The design is an illustration of red dye 40 in a form of red monster which are designed to be evil and not to be too scary but also appealing to young readers. The monster forms itself highlight the bad effect of consuming large amount of red dye 40 in the candy. The monster are hyperactive type-monster and has evil looking eyes
showing that how active and evil the monster are even though the monster are suffering from bad breath and bad teeth.
The monster also have super long tongue that can lick many candies. hahaha :D")
