He's so sad, and so alone in his new house, that he's built an exact replica of his old house in his imagination. It's three stories tall and Henry has furnished it just like his old house. All seen through the eyes of gritty, degenerate, tough, dirty realist, underclass characters. Quite a bit of drugs, sex, crime, homelessness etc. You could say a dystopian, fantastical Bukowski from a UK perspective.")
